Hi, my name is Shane Bone, and I am the owner of Simple Steps Consulting in Montgomery County PA. I am certified as both a Professional Organizer and a Home Redesigner. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for anything organizing and design. I have explored and developed my talents in many different fields over the past 25 years, but it wasn’t until I re-launched my business in 2020 that I finally found my true calling! As a serial entrepreneur I was able to finally combine my desire to own my own business with my passion for organizing and design.
In October of 2020, when I went live with my Facebook page and website, I remember saying to my husband: “If I just get one or two jobs a month, I will feel really good about that!” By that December we were both looking at each other in disbelief with how quickly things were growing. In January we started talking about hiring a team, April we held our first employee orientation, and one year later my husband is our operations manager, we hired another Professional Organizer, an Interior Designer, an Administrative Assistant, and two Organizing & Design Assistants.
One of the interesting things to me has been the organic growth our Company has seen in such a short time. I set out thinking we would mainly be organizing and applying our passion for design to the finished product of an organizing project. However, we have experienced equal demand for our design services. Additionally, I have been able to apply my business and project management experience to larger scale projects involving home remodels, full-service upsizing and downsizing services, and commercial projects. Expanding into these arenas has been a pleasantly rewarding and exciting opportunity for our entire team.
